coatings for drummotor, rollers, etc.
Ellegaard can provide you with a strong and durable conveyor solution by adding a layer of rubber of polyurethane (PU) on drum motors and rollers. We can add this function to all of our drum motors and rollers, but we can of course also improve your own material with a coating or a sleeve.
WHY ADD A COATING?
Rubber or polyurethane are the most commonly used materials for coatings and there can be many reasons for adding this to the sleeve of the drum motor or roller. The correct coating with a smooth or diamond shaped surface creates the optimal friction which ensures maximum grip on the conveyor belt. The coating have the added benefit of reducing wear and tear on the conveyor belt and also protect rollers and drum motor against corrosion from oil and other chemicals.
We manufacture our own Scandrive drum motor, rollers and sleeves at ELLEGAARD and can produce most of these with special coatings to your specifications. Placing an order for these products with us ensures you of the correct guidance in which coating is best for your application. Whether it is for food, products with a high content of natural oils, heavy and abrasive materials or even something completely different, we will find the right solution for you.
Bring us your old sleeve, drum motor or other machinery where the coating has been worn down or destroyed. ELLEGAARD can remove or the worn down rubber or polyurethane (PU) and clean the sleeve for optimal adhesion. We then glue on and vulcanize the correct coating, and your sleeve, roller or drum motor is ready for use.
Which coating should you choose?
Rubber or polyurethane (PU) have different properties when used as coating on drum motors, rollers etc. A rubber coating on a drum motor will in many cases be enough to secure a good grip on the conveyor belt. The rubber coating also has the added benefit in that it is a simpel and cost effective solution.
Polyurethane (PU) is, like rubber, incredible resistant against certain fat, oil and chemicals and the material can be used on numerous surfaces. Polyurethane (PU) is also a very flexible material and can also be sprayed directly onto the surface without leaving any visible connections.
