Conveyor belt edges have a tendency to delaminate when the belt, for example, is not well tracked, for that reason it swings in the conveyor. The smooth edges ensure that unknown materials and micro organisms adhere inside the loose threads and thereby entail to a health risk.

Polydek® sealing avoids penetration of micro-organisms in the conveyor belts and the easy to clean sealed edges optimize hygienic conditions in the food industry production lines.

Polydek® is not used for edge reinforcement but for edge sealing, in that way it prevents the penetration of bacteria.
The benefits with Polydek® edge sealing are:
